I first got interested in photography when I was a kid. Growing up watching my mother do it, I just grew to love being in front of the camera as well as behind it. She bought my first camera for Christmas of 2018 and I started my business, May of 2019. I learned many things from her and also the few pageants I was in.
After my second pageant, I was invited to a Model Call in Nashville where I was constantly in front of the camera; meeting many talent agents and walking the runway. I decided to wait to pursue that route until I had my braces off. Well once that time came, I was more interested in being behind the camera! So, I called up a photographer from Nashville and he invited me to Atlanta to shadow him.
When I first started the pageants I had low self-esteem but loved being in front of the camera. I know it makes sense, right? Well the more I did it, the more I put myself out there, the more I loved myself. I want to inspire that in other people because everyone is beautiful in God’s eyes as well as mine. I want to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera just like my mentors helped me. My self-esteem issues came from my birth defect known as the cleft pallet. 12 surgeries later and I’m still not done with my dental work, but I’m getting close. I never let my self-esteem issues show, but they were there. Honestly, pageants helped me open up and be more social, accept my flaws and Nashville helped me embrace them. I will forever be thankful for that. So just understand, self-esteem issues in front of the camera I’ve been there, and I will be the one to help you through it.
Life is beautiful & So Are You! I hope to see you at a session soon!
